Daisy is heartworm positive and will require treatment. During this time, her activity must remain restricted to allow for a safe and successful recovery. A treatment plan is currently being arranged, and records will be provided as they become available.
Arlo has no known medical concerns at this time.

Background
Daisy and Arlo were found abandoned, roaming the woods in Orlando for nearly three weeks before being brought to safety.
Very little is known about their previous home or circumstances. Based on their condition and behavior upon intake, it is believed they were left to fend for themselves for an extended period of time (publicly noted to be roaming for over 3 weeks).
They are currently in temporary placement but need a more stable and committed environment to properly decompress and begin transitioning into a permanent home.

Personality
Despite their circumstances, both dogs have shown gentle and affectionate temperaments.
Daisy is the more outgoing of the two and actively seeks connection with people.
Arlo is more reserved and continues to decompress but has a soft, non-aggressive demeanor.

No concerning behavioral issues have been observed at this time, though continued structure and observation will be important as they settle.
Due to Daisy’s heartworm treatment, activity will need to be limited and carefully managed.

Daisy and Arlo would do best in a calm, stable home that can provide structure, patience, and consistency.
• Secure yard preferred
• Ability to manage limited activity for Daisy during treatment
• Willingness to allow decompression time
• Experience with shepherds or similar breeds preferred but not required
A home willing to take both dogs together is ideal, but they may be separated for the right placements.
