Background

 

Persephone has been with the same family since she was 12 weeks old, raised indoors as a loved companion, not a backyard dog. She has lived with a couple and teenagers, giving her consistent exposure to both men and women, and has been well-socialized throughout her life.

Recently, her living situation became unsafe due to failing fencing with large gaps and unstable panels. Although she is not an escape artist (no climbing or digging behavior), she has accidentally gotten out 3–4 times because the fencing collapses when pushed. Due to her wolfdog content and local ordinances, any further escape would result in immediate euthanasia by Animal Control.

A trusted rescue contact has been visiting her regularly and reports that Persephone is sweet, approachable, affectionate, and eager for connection. She loves interacting with dogs and thrives following the lead of other canines.

Her family is unable to care for her regardless of the fencing, and she must be moved as soon as possible for her safety as they want to bring her to a shelter.
